Cole Charges to Eighth at Eagle
Cole Vanderheiden was one of 34 IMCA Race Saver Sprint Car racers registered for action at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway on Saturday night.
In an attrition-filled heat race, Cole dodged the chaos to finish fourth, which lined him 13th for the night's finale.
Early in the finale, he slipped back to as far as the 15th position before finding his groove. Over the remainder of the feature he clawed his way forward to an eighth-place finish.
